Robomower Winter Care and Feeding:

Mantis Cordless Reel Mower

After anot season of ing 've put r Roboer robotic lawn er in the garage the ter. No need to worry about it until spring, right? Wrong! That could cost a pretty penny!

First, the b needs to be charged one day ev ot month, if not the b will deteriorate v rapidly. That will be v costly come the first ing get a v short cutting session.

Lead acid beries are finicky. They can't be left on the charger full t they can't be left alone all ter to drain. Te are plenty of websites that cover the intricacies of lead acid beries so I will skip the details. Suffice it to say that charging the beries once a day- only a day- ev ot month will extend the life of the b considerably.

Make sure the Roboer is sting on its wheels not on the bumpers! If left a long t the bumper contacts can stick toget, not a cheap proposition.

Is te a grinding sound in the drive train? If so the gear case may be ready to give out. Why wait until spring or hope that it will make it a little while longer? Beat the crowd get it fixed it bee ing season. This t of year, the servicing dealer will give it that extra special ention. It is amazing how many people all want their Roboers fixed in April. Not a good t to be without r er.

Perter switches are not waterproof or meant cold temperatures so bring them inside. When the snow melts or frost builds up on the circuit board one thing is sure, a Roboer dealer is going to be smiling.

The docking station needs to be brought inside as well. Te is a circuit board inside the gray shield that is not waterproof or designed to withst cold temperatures.

Check the blades. Winter is the best t to get a new set of blades. In the spring evbody their brot is ordering parts, it is not unusual the distributor to run out or ration them to the dealers. Blades make nice Christmas presents, even in January.

Some sites may even have ter specials. One thing can count on is pricing aren't going to be going down in the spring.

A little ethought this ter can save t, money, headaches this ing season.
